Berry Celtic Festival returns to the Shoalhaven this May
Pipe bands, jousting knights and a main street full of tartan. The Berry Celtic Festival is back on Saturday 23 May 2026, and it is one of the biggest days on the Shoalhaven calendar.
Berry is only a 15 minute drive from Mountain View Resort, so if you are staying with us that weekend, this one is well worth the trip.
What’s on
The festival runs at the Berry Showground from 8.30am, with the famous street parade stepping off at 9.30am in the main street. Expect pipe bands, community groups, entertainers and jousting horses making their way through town.
Back at the showground you will find:
- Pipe bands, highland dancing and folk music through the day
- Jousting knights and medieval re-enactors in full armour
- Highland games demonstrations
- Scottish clans and Celtic societies
- Celtic themed trade and food stalls
Entry is $20 for adults and free for children under 15, which makes it an easy family day out.
Make a weekend of it
Berry itself is one of the prettiest villages on the South Coast, with galleries, cafes and the famous Berry Donut Van. Get in early, watch the parade, then spend the afternoon wandering the stalls. You can read more about the village on our Historic Berry page.
Staying at Mountain View Resort puts you close to the action without the festival crowds. You are 15 minutes from Berry, right next to Seven Mile Beach, and the kids have the pool and jumping pillow waiting when you get back.
